About Excelsa Floors

Excelsa Floors was formed by three owner-directors who, between them, bring decades of hands-on experience in industrial concrete flooring. Tom Hancock, John Hindley and Mark Buxton came from separate senior positions across consultancy (HCC Consultancy), surveying (Metron) and remediation (Concept Flooring Services), and came together because they saw what a genuinely joined-up approach to this work could offer.

The Directors

Tom, John and Mark met in 2016, working within the supply chain for one of the world's largest online retailers. Their specialisms were different. Tom's background was in consultancy, John brought surveying expertise, and Mark's was in remediation.

What they quickly discovered was that the more opportunities they had to work together on the same project, the better the outcome. The kind of difference you see when a bespoke floor comes together exactly as it should, because the right expertise was in the room at every stage.

In most industrial flooring projects, that kind of joined-up thinking is rare. Consultancy, surveying, and remediation tend to sit with separate providers, and clients carry the coordination burden between them. Excelsa exists to change that.
